Wow, what a great evening!

Had the wonderful opportunity to speak with members of the Bostonian Tea Party last night.  They had a really great crowd over at T&B…and boy were they asking all the tough questions.  I loved it.  Sure has a way of keep a public servant on his toes.  Did my best to answer all their questions as directly and fully as I could.

With the announcement that Wally Herger is supporting his handpicked successor, Doug LaMalfa, this should prove to be an exciting campaign for congress.  I know I’ve got the passion and committment to see it to the finish line!

Thanks to all the Bostonian Tea Party folks and their illustrious leader, Gregg Mann, for having me over last night.  Very much appreciated.

Last night, Thursday, 8 April 2010, the Bostonian Tea Party in Redding, CA sponsored the first of several planned candidate debates/forums at the McLaughlin Performing Arts Auditorium, 1805 Sequoia St., Redding, CA .   

Originally planned to be a debate between myself and Congressman Wally Herger, it ended up being a comprehensive 2+ hour Q&A for yours truly…Colonel Pete.  At the last minute, the Herger campaign advised the Bostonian Tea Party planning committee that the congressman would not debate a fellow republican during the primary.  Go figure.  Certainly would have been nice to allow all those in attendance to listen to both candidates answering some very tough questions.

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening.  The audience was great.  The host and moderator exceptionally courteous.  And, I believe it was an superbly informative evening for all who attended.

I’m off shortly for the Colusa Parade which begins at 5PM.  I always enjoy walking in parades and meeting all the great folks.
